The Cheery Chum

By now, we’ve all heard the phrase “toxic positivity.” Not sure what it means? Dust off that dictionary, and you’ll see this person’s picture next to the definition. You have no idea how they stay so upbeat, but you’re pretty sure that’s not powdered creamer they’re putting in their coffee. They’re charming, funny, and haven’t had an off day since they skipped into the office a few years back. No matter how early you speed into work, they’re already in their seat, at inbox zero, and they’ve somehow managed to bake you cookies with a sticky note that says, “Keep up the good work!” What a dick…

The Junior Employee

You’re all for dropping down the Corporate Ladder behind you once you’ve climbed up, but these twerps make you think twice before you do. They feel the need to chime in with one-liners and useless facts from the same LinkedIn report you read this morning. They don’t seem to get that even though they were at the top of their class, they are now at the bottom of the corporate food chain. Oh, you just graduated? You must know everything! Tell me, what do you do during a reorg? What’s a reorg? Stay right there while I get you a binky to go with that bottle of coffee.
